VCP, VCDX… what’s next?
Master VCP! How cool does that sound?The VCDX, as cool as it is, is specifically targeted at a solution architect level. It is not for everyone. What should be for all of you is a “next” level. This “Master VCP” certification is something that we are working very hard on being able to provide soon. It would involve being a VCP, then taking the Enterprise Administration Exam, which is part multiple choice, part practical. Preventing Automatic Update to IE8 with Internet Explorer 8 Blocker Toolkit
Microsoft began to distribute Windows Internet Explorer 8 as a high-priority update through Automatic Updates for Windows XP with Service Pack 2 (SP2), Windows XP with Service Pack 3 (SP3), Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 2 (SP2) for x64 and x86, Windows Vista for x64 and x86, Windows Vista with Service Pack 1 (SP1) for x64 and x86, and Windows Server 2008 for x64 and x86.

What happens when I delete a snapshot? [Hyper-V]
A lot of people have asked me what happens “under the covers” when they delete a snapshot. Unfortunately, the answer is relatively complicated as there are multiple things that could happen.
As previously discussed – a snapshot is composed of a configuration file, saved state files and differencing disks (AVHDs). When you delete a snapshot the snapshot configuration file and saved state files are always deleted immediately – and the snapshot entry is removed from the user interface.

Microsoft licensing policies for Windows Server Terminal Services, including the new components that are included in Windows Server 2008, require that in addition to a Windows Server Client Access License (CAL), Microsoft® Core CAL Suite, or Microsoft Enterprise CAL Suite, you must acquire a Windows Server 2008 TS CAL for each user or device that directly or indirectly accesses the server software to interact with a remote graphical user interface (using the Windows Server 2008 Terminal Services functionality or other technology).
