VEEAM Backup 3.1 is compatible vSphere 4

VEEAM backup is around for a while. It’s solid performances does not need to be proven any more. The new VEEAM Backup and Replication 3.1 is now fully compatible with vSphere 4.VEEAM backup is able to backup with or without VCB. You have the choice, depends on your infrastructure what’s better for you. VEEAM was the 1st company which released an update to be compatible with VMware  vSphere 4. Other new features and updates are follows:

Windows 2008 VSS support (VSS = Volume Shadow Copy)
Linux File-Level restore.  Linux, Unix, BSD, Mac and other operating systems in addition to Windows file-level restore available since version 1.0.
64 Bits Guests Operating Systems fully supported
VM Templates Backup possibility - which is usefull

All of us sysadmins we are using VEEAM free tools like VEEAM Fast SCP. That’s why VEEAM is one of my favourites. The release of the VEEAM Monitor 4.0 with it’s new features like full storage monitoring capabilities, hardware sensor monitoring, and troubleshooting drill-down to both Windows and Linux guest operating systems makes VEEAM Monitor 4.0 great tool to keep in every Sysadmin pocket.

Entreprise customers can now benefit the first available backup product - VEEAM Backup and Replication 3.1 compatible vSphere 4 to backup their virtual infrastructure under VMware vSphere. You can benefit 50% of till 15th of June 2009. So hurry up !
