The countdown to Veeam Backup & Replication 7 is going on, and its release is scheduled for the third quarter of 2013. As already mentioned in a previous article, Veeam is going to tease us with the 7 main features of the new release, one per month.

Last february the announcement was about vCloud Director support; this month is time for the VMware vSphere Web Client integration.

This feature is really important in my opinion, because it follows the new idea about the management of vSphere ecosystem, as VMware has designed it: to aggregate all the different components (even third party’s ones) inside the Web Client, making it the “single pane” for the overall management.

Today, in order to globally monitor backup status, Veeam offers the Enterprise Manager, a web application that shows in a graphic way many parameters. However, not all the values and elements of Veeam Backup & Replication are available in this console.

Instead, the new plugin offers a more complete vision and most of all some really important informations:
