ELL EqualLogic SAN Headquarters v2.6 released

DELL released a new SAN Headquarters version, this is an update towards the v2.5 release which is dated back to December 2012. SAN Headquarters 2.6 supports PS Series firmware version 5.0 or higher. SAN Headquarters enables you to monitor multiple PS Series groups from a single graphical interface. It gathers and formats performance data and other vital group information. Automating VM recovery with stand-alone vSphere Replication

VMware adds Concurrent User licensing to Horizon Suite

VMware released Horizon Suite 1.0 around March 2012. Horizon Suite is a bundle of components: Horizon Workspace 1.0; Multi-device access to applications, data and desktops Horizon Mirage; centralized image management for local deployment Horizon View 5.2; desktop and application virtualization When Horizon Suite became GA in 2012  it was limited to  a named user license only. vCenter Server 5.1 Update 1a

Back on April 29th we posted an alert: ALERT: Login issue after updating to vCenter 5.1 Update 1 which detailed a scenario whereby customers might be unable to log in using the vSphere Web Client or domain username/password credentials via the vSphere Client after updating to vCenter 5.1 Tonight at 7:30pm PST, vCenter Server 5.1 Update 1 will be removed from the VMware download site and will be replaced by vCenter Server 5.1 Update 1a. The awesome 8th feature of Veeam B&R v7: ‘Backup copy job’

So Veeam B&R v7 has been announced. For me, the 7 pre-announced features (support for vCloud Director, vSphere Web Client, the Veeam Explorer for Sharepoint, Virtual Lab for Hyper-V and replicas, archive to tape and finally self-service 1-click restore) are good enhancements to the product, but not earth shattering.
