Introduction Since Exchange Server 2013 reached RTM the 11th of October, and finally it was published to MSDN the 24th of October. This post is based on the RTM version of Exchange 2013. I decided to write a post that included both the KEMP configuration together with the Exchange 2013 configuration. I’ve also seen that Jaap Wesselius have posted an article regarding this topic already, it’s my hope that I can fill the gap regarding the complete configuration of both Exchange and the load balancer. For illustrating my lab... [Lire la suite]

Configure certificate-based authentication for Exchange ActiveSync

In previous posts, we have discussed certificate based authentication (CBA) for Outlook Web App, and Greg Taylor has covered publishing Outlook Web App and Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) with certificate based authentication using ForeFront TMG in this whitepaper. Certificate based authentication can also be accomplished using ForeFront Unified Access Gateway. In this post, we will discuss how to configure CBA for EAS for Exchange 2010 in deployments without TMG or UAG. To recap some of the common questions administrators and IT... [Lire la suite]

Turn Off Internet Access To Exchange 2013 EAC

With Exchange 2013 administration moving to browser based, you can manage your Exchange 2013 environment from anywhere in the world, provided that they are published. How can we switch off access from outside the corporate network?   You can manage your 2013 environment with EAC internally by navigating to https://casserver/ecp or https://loadbalancedurl/ecp if you have an NLB or load balancer in place. Your external webmail url (https://mail.domain.com) can be used to access the EAC (with /ecp) from outside the corporate...

If BB10 upgrades are a nightmare, why not jump to iPhone now?

RIM is getting ready to help business upgrade to BB10 and BES 10, but if you need help to do it, why not just do something else instead? We now know that next January, to coincide with the launch of BlackBerry 10, RIM are making available a whole bunch of resources to help enterprises make the transition from the old RIM devices (your BlackBerry 7 Curves, Bolds, and the like) over to the new shininess that is BlackBerry 10. Those resources and attended incentives are packaged up in something called the "BlackBerry 10 Ready... [Lire la suite]

Publishing Exchange Server 2013 using TMG

Now that Exchange Server 2013 is available, some of you may well be wondering how to publish it to the Internet using Microsoft Threat Management Gateway (TMG) or perhaps the Microsoft Unified Access Gateway (UAG). This post will help you configure TMG, for sure, but not UAG – as for the time being, you can’t effectively publish Exchange Server 2013 using UAG without turning off many of the security features in UAG. Why’s that? Well, as you’ll have gathered from other posts on this fine blog, we re-wrote OWA for Exchange 2013. And... [Lire la suite]
