Let me explain the new concept with an example. My mailbox has a primary smtp address of Rajith@Exchangemaster.me and the server entryin my outlook profile is as shown below. This... [Lire la suite]

How to tackle the default database in Exchange 2013

The steps are the same, as in the 2010 world.   As in Exchange 2010, installation of 2013 Mailbox role creates a new mailbox database with a name “Mailbox Database *”, where * represents a long number. Exchange administrators prefer to follow a naming convention and keep things clean. Easiest will be to rename the default database to something that suits your naming convention. Click the Edit button and rename the database & hit the Save button. --> Please see the rest on the blog... [Lire la suite]

Some of our admin tools didn’t make it to Exchange 2013 including BPA and Routing Log Viewer. --> Please see the rest on the blog... [Lire la suite]

Exchange 2013 Server Roles Installation Order – Mailbox First

The Microsoft recommendation regarding the order in which the Exchange 2013 server roles should be introduced into a forest is the reverse of Exchange 2010. Mailbox role first & it does make sense. Why?   In the Exchange 2010 world, the order of installation was CAS, Hub & Mailbox, whereas in 2013, it is Mailbox first & then CAS. Why is it different in 2013? --> Please see the rest on the blog : http://www.howexchangeworks.com/2012/10/exchange-2013-server-roles-installation-order-mailbox-first.html
