Hello, I’m Doug Hazelman and I’m the director of the Global Systems Engineers Group at Veeam Software. USB Device Mapping to VM in ESX4 Does Not Work As Stated
1.0 Overview
With the release of ESX4, VMware documented the inclusion of a USB Host Controller device that could be installed in to hosted Virtual Machines. This USB controller would allow the mapping of a host attached USB device through to a VM. However when you connect a device you can not map it to a hosted Virtual Machine.

Haute disponibilité d’une machine virtuelle dans Hyper-V
La cas m’a occupé un certain temps avant de finaliser la solution à ce problème.
Posons la problématique
L’environnement a été installé selon les spécifications du guide détaillé de mise en œuvre d’Hyper-V en cluster. Si on se réfère à ce guide, on peut tester la haute disponibilité de la machine virtuelle simplement en arrêtant le service cluster. Jusque là, le comportement est normal. Mais poussons un peu plus les tests?

Coût d’une licence vSphere 4 pour un datacenter
Alors que la « pillule » de l’upgrade quasi obligatoire de VMware Virtual Infrastructure 3 Enterprise vers vSphere Enterprise Plus a du mal à passer dans pas mal de DSI.
Pour rappel : La licence VMware vSphere Enterprise ne sera plus commercialisée à la fin d’année et oblige bon nombre de Datacenter à migrer vers la version Enterprise Plus pour continuer à augmenter la taille des clusters VMware existants tout en bénéficiant des fonctionnalités indispensables à un DataCenter tel que le DRS.
