The VMware ESX service console is used to run scripts and load third-party applications so that you can manage your ESX host systems and virtual infrastructure. Today I played catch-up with Mike Dipetrillo’s blog, which contained an interesting post on VMware’s Distributed Power Management (DPM), an “experimental” feature in VMware’s VI 3.5 software. This is an interesting concept, and one that competitors such as Virtual Iron offer as well. Just start the tool and download the patches for your platform en create a iso file with the tool. Move this iso file to your vmware iso datastore and connect your vm’s and run the tool to update the vm’s. La société californienne, spécialisée dans la virtualisation multi-plates-formes, a gagné des galons notamment grâce à son client Apple.
