Exchange 2013 RTM CU1 Status

Originally, we stated we would deliver Exchange 2013 RTM Cumulative Update 1 (CU1) by the end of this quarter.  Unfortunately, we are not going to meet that goal. We know that many of you will be disappointed as a result of this statement. We understand your pain, however, the decision to delay is due to an issue we found in our final test pass coupled with feedback from members within our Technology Adoption Program community. Specifically, we found an issue with Exchange 2010 coexistence. The issue actually had an easy... [Lire la suite]

Dynamic Memory Pro Tip – be reasonable with your startup ram

Hyper-V now allows you to configure a startup, minimum and maximum memory limit.  If you are like me – you probably leave the startup ram at the default of 512mb – but you should really consider changing it to better suit your environment.  Here is a quick screenshot from one of my Hyper-V servers: Two things that I have discovered: Some of my virtual machines benefit from having a startup and minimum that is below 512mb.  My FTP server, for instance, is a core installation of Windows server which just acts as an... The tool you will want to use is “wbadmin.exe” Backing up a virtual machine is fairly straight forward.  Your command will look like this: wbadmin start backup –backupTarget:<location to backup to> –hyperv:<list of virtual machines to backup> --> Please see the rest on the... Enable OWA Light In Exchange 2013

How to enable the light version of OWA in Exchange 2013?   By default, the option to enable the light version of OWA is not exposed in OWA 2013. It is easy enough to light up the option, if you want it for any reason. Get-OWAVirtualDirectory | Set-OWAVirtualDirectory –LogonPageLightSelectionEnabled $true will do the trick. Run iisreset for the changes to take effect. --> Please see the rest on the blog : http://www.howexchangeworks.com/2013/03/enable-owa-light-in-exchange-2013.html

... [Lire la suite]
