Synchronous Configuration Changes

In ISA Server 2004 and 2006 there was a difference in the behavior of configuration changes between Standard Edition and Enterprise Edition. In Standard Edition, the configuration change operation was synchronous. This means that applying the configuration completed after the new configuration was stored and loaded by the ISA Server computer (which was always the same computer). Publishing Exchange Server 2010 with Forefront UAG and TMG

Since joining the Exchange Customer Experience team a few months ago, a question I am commonly asked (aside from “When are you taking over the storage calculator from Ross? I’m asked this mainly because I have a particular interest in client access and security aspects of Exchange, and... [Lire la suite]

Microsoft had released the latest version of ISA server couple of months ago and it has undergone a name change. The new release is named Forefront Threat Management Gateway (TMG) 2010. This version supports running Exchange Edge 2010 and Forefront Protection For Exchange 2010 along with it in the same box. I bet you know where I am heading! You don’t need different servers like in the old times. You can have a couple of servers in the DMZ with all three components. The same box will publish Exchange services like OWA, OA &... Using Forefront TMG/ISA Server BPA for documenting your deployment

An administrator of Forefront TMG or ISA Server may want to document their current configuration, so that they can: Recreate the Forefront TMG/ISA Server setup from the documentation in the case of data loss/corruption.
