Physical or Appliance – Upgrading to vCenter Server 5.1

The other day we received this question from a customer via Twitter: @VMwareCares planning to upgrade to 5.1 from 5.0 vcenter. What’s recommended physical or appliance? Ups and downs side of each? Difference between ESX and Hyper-V or Xen

I found a little video explaing the basic design differencess between VMware and Hyper-V. The speaker’s name is Tim Antonowicz, which works as a Senior SE and virtualization guru at Mosaic. I always thought that Hyper-V supposed to be “bare metal” hypervizor… Apparently I was wrong.. Just watch this video and see.
