Windows Server 2012 File Server Tip: Switch to the High Performance power profile

When you install a fresh copy of Windows Server 2012 and configure it with the File Server role, the default Power Setting balances power efficiency and performance. For this reason, even if you have a few high speed network interfaces and the fastest SSD storage out there, you might not be getting the very best IOPS and throughput possible. Release: Microsoft User Experience Virtualization 1.0

Today Microsoft announced the release of version 1.0 of its User Environment Management (UEM) solution User Experience Virtualization, also known as UE-V. UE-V together with App-V 5.0 was first announced a public beta in April this year. Support de la réplication du profil de l’utilisateur

Depuis Windows 95, on disposait des profils errants. Avec l’arrivée de la virtialisation de présentation (Terminal Server / Citrix), on a  réutilisé ces même profils errants, tout comme pour le VDI. Avec l’arrivée de ces nouvelles infrastructures, le stockage des profils errants en un point unique est considéré comme un SPOF (Single point of Failure).
