XenServer Enterprise for free?

Before anyone starts shouting, yes I’m a VMware employee and a VMware fanatic or whatever they call it these days. One of my customers phoned me up today and wanted to discuss the fact that XenServer Enterprise is available for free. I wasn’t prepared at all which makes a discussion like this very “interesting” to say the least, especially because I’m not a competitive expert. Citrix Essentials for XenServer and Hyper-V: First Impressions

Citrix announced the release of Citrix Essentials for XenServer and Hyper-V. Yes – Essentials supports both XenServer and Hyper-V. Citrix XenServer est dorénavant gratuit

C’est maintenant officiel, Citrix XenServer est dorénavant gratuit (XenCenter, XenMotion, Resource Pools et storage management inclus) http://www.citrix.com/English/NE/news/news.asp?newsID=1687130 Citrix compterai compenser financierement avec un pack de management nommé Citrix Essentials décliné en 2 versions. --> C'est la guerre!
