Verizon Enterprise will use VMware's Horizon Mobile software to segment work and life personas. The move is part of a broader effort to make Android more enterprise friendly.

Verizon's enterprise unit and VMware said Wednesday that they have rolled out a "dual persona solution" that segregates corporate information running on Android devices.

Under the deal, the two companies will offer the dual persona software on the LG Intuition and Motorola RAZR M smartphones used by Verizon Enterprise customers. The dual persona software is powered by VMware’s Horizon Mobile software.

VMware's Horizon Mobile creates a corporate workspace managed and controlled by the information technology department. A worker's personal information and data remain separate. The corporate workspace has its own OS, applications and policies.
